Black Snake Moan is now available on DVD in the US! Make sure you head on out to your favorite DVD store and pick it up.
I’m working on capping and uploading the special features tonight. The captures from the film will not be done and uploaded until this weekend as I am on vacation right now. ;) But the special features captures should hold you over until the movie captures pop up, or you can go out and get Black Snake Moan now!

As you can see (if you can’t see it, please refresh your web browser) there is a brand spanking new layout here at Confessions Of Christina Ricci! This layout was made the very talented Ivan and features an image from Christina’s shoot with the UK edition of GQ magazine. I think it’s amazing and it will be up for a while. ;)
I also added 3 new videos into clippage. They are: Little Red Riding Hood, The PSA Christina shot for RAINN and the press interview for the cast announcement of Speed Racer.
Please feel free to leave your thoughts on the new layout in the comments! And if you see something look strange, I’m just playing around and tweaking some things, so no need to worry. ;)
Let the updates resume! I just finished my final class for three weeks today, so that means I’m rearing to go and update! :D I’ll probably be doing another update before the weekend with some media and something new. ;) For today though, I’ve added 1,009 captures from the film The Gathering. I thought the movie was quite good and Christina looked amazing in it! Check them out by clicking the thumbnails below.

I want to apologize for not updating a lot this month. Aside from Speed Racer news, I haven’t been on top of things. I am finishing up photography school this week (and am looking at a three week break), so at the end of this week I’ll be back to updating! I already have some new things *that’s a clue*, more gallery additions, new videos, and of course next week we’ll be having captures from Black Snake Moan! So please bare with me a little longer, it will be worth the boring-ness right now. ;)
WHEN listening to Christina Ricci’s child-like voice, it’s easy to forget the 27-year-old is a Hollywood veteran with a career that spans 39 films over almost two decades.
She started out as a 10-year-old playing Cher’s daughter in Mermaids, but she’s far outgrown her child-actor beginnings, with critically acclaimed roles in films such as Sleepy Hollow, The Opposite of Sex and The Ice Storm.
She also earned an Emmy Award nomination for a guest role in the hit television series Grey’s Anatomy.
Now Ricci is talking about what is possibly the role of her career, as Rae, a victim of sexual abuse, in writer-director Craig Brewer’s controversial new film Black Snake Moan, screening at the Sydney Film Festival next Sunday.
I went through and re-organized the site affiliates. I removed the sites that were dead links, not updating within the year, or who were linking to old URL’s (especially since one older URL goes to another site). I also made it easier to get added to our page, just fill out the form below and all I have to do is approve you! :) If you want to affiliate, please check out the affiliates page and apply there. ;)
Also, the official website for the film Speed Racer is now open! Check it out at SpeedracerTheMovie.com. There is cast bios, photos, videos, podcast and a transcript. I can’t wait until the movie is out!
Thanks to Latcher for posting the link to Cinematical with the plot outline for Speed Racer! Read the plot outline below! :)
From writer/directors Larry and Andy Wachowski, the creators of the groundbreaking “The Matrix” trilogy, and producer Joel Silver comes the live-action, high-octane family adventure “Speed Racer.”
Hurtling down the track, careening around, over and through the competition, Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is a natural behind the wheel. Born to race cars, Speed is aggressive, instinctive and, most of all, fearless. His only real competition is the memory of the brother he idolized-the legendary Rex Racer-whose death in a race has left behind a legacy that Speed is driven to fulfill.
Speed is loyal to the family racing business, led by his father, Pops Racer (John Goodman), the designer of Speed’s thundering Mach 5. When Speed turns down a lucrative and tempting offer from Royalton Industries, he not only infuriates the company’s maniacal owner (Roger Allam) but uncovers a terrible secret-some of the biggest races are being fixed by a handful of ruthless moguls who manipulate the top drivers to boost profits. If Speed won’t drive for Royalton, Royalton will see to it that the Mach 5 never crosses another finish line.
The only way for Speed to save his family’s business and the sport he loves is to beat Royalton at his own game. With the support of his family and his loyal girlfriend, Trixie (Christina Ricci), Speed teams with his one-time rival-the mysterious Racer X (Matthew Fox)-to win the race that had taken his brother’s life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.
Slated for release on May 9, 2008, “Speed Racer” marks the Wachowski brothers’ first writing/directing collaboration since “The Matrix” movies. Joel Silver, who previously worked with the Wachowskis on “The Matrix” movies and “V For Vendetta,” is producing the film under his Silver Pictures banner.
The film stars Emile Hirsch (“Alpha Dog”) as Speed, Christina Ricci (“Black Snake Moan”) as Trixie, Matthew Fox (TV’s “Lost”) as Racer X, and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (“Dead Man Walking”) and John Goodman (“Evan Almighty”) as Mom and Pops Racer. Rounding out the main cast are Australian actor Kick Gurry (“Spartan”) as Sparky; Paulie Litt (TV’s “Hope & Faith”) as Sprittle; Roger Allam (“The Queen,” “V For Vendetta”) as Royalton; and Asian music star Ji Hoon Jung (popularly known as Rain), making his major feature film debut as a rival driver.
Based on the classic series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida, the live-action “Speed Racer” will showcase the kind of revolutionary visual effects and cutting-edge storytelling that have become the benchmarks of the Wachowski brothers’ films.
“Speed Racer” is a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, of a Silver Pictures Production.
